One of the most recognisable smells of all essential oils, peppermint is a steam distillation of the whole peppermint plant. This plant is a hybrid of water mint and spearmint and is often found in commercial products such as toothpastes and chewing gums.

Peppermint is used for a variety of ailments from purely freshening your breath, to helping relieve headaches and nausea. It can also be used to help bring comfort to digestive upsets and help relieve congested respiratory airways as well as helping to improve circulation. This mighty oil can also be used to help repel insects and bugs!
